Spring Break Baby!

We went to Doc's lakehouse for spring break last week. It was a GREAT refreshing time! Jake and I went Tuesday through Sunday, and my parents joined us with the kids, Beffy and Caleb late Thursday night. I am usually terrible about taking pics because I just want to relax and not mess with the camera.... but this time I really tried to document the trip! Here are some of the shots we took. :-) Enjoy!

Our house before we left. This is my only pic of the outside of our house!

Jake loading all my luggage!

The Candy Shoppe in Hardy, AR. My favorite store!

After the 8 hour drive we finally arrived.

Taking a walk home after eating lunch downtown.

Beffy & Caleb came too :-)
YAH for a great trip! I can't wait to go back.

Where did February go?!

I have been too busy with school and lacked motivation to update our blog! This time of year there aren't as many fun pictures to share and I have been so busy with homework in my spare time that I truly haven't had time to get on here!

Jake celebrated his 26th birthday this month. His one request was that I make him Mischele's famous coconut cream pie. I was so proud of my work that I took a picture of him with his birthday pie. Let me just say, the egg whites took FOREVER to get stiff with my hand beaters.

I will blog again soon! *hopefully*

Painting has begun

We started painting our house on Christmas break. We started with the living room, dining room and entry way. FYI, this was Jake's first time to paint and I didn't have much experience myself. Here are 2 pictures of our painting experience. :-)

His face cracks me up!

We learned a lot the first time around....... and my body hasn't hurt that bad in a long time!

Tomorrow is my last day here at Truco. It's sad to think about not working with Bethany (and Anna!) anymore, but I try not to think about it. I have a lot of peace and excitment as I start this new chapter in my life. Selling Premier jewelry will be my fulltime job as I go back to school! Last night I took the final for my History class at NCTC and next monday I start a mini holiday class. I am taking Government, one of the most boring subjects in my opinion. However, it will be nice to get it done in only 2 1/2 weeks.

I have run out of time to do Christmas cards this year. :-( Oh well, at least we have a little christmas tree up and 2 stockings on the mantel! I will post pictures of our home soon. After this week I should have a lot more time on my hands. Hopefully.

My darling nephew Pacer Sanderson was born Monday morning at 8:58am! It was so cool getting to be at his birth. Such a special memory that I will never forget. Janae was so brave and did it all natural. I am so proud of her! Pacer is the most adorable, sweet and happy little baby! (not that I'm partial or anything)

Before I go, here are two pictures of us in NM on Thanksgiving. Thank you Uncle Walt!
